The workshops deal in the subjects of personal and cultural acquaintance, questions of identity and majority-minority relations in the country, as well as a preliminary attempt to examine possible agreements within the complex reality of the conflict. This is an authentic and open encounter which provides a unique social experience to pupils who, in other circumstances, would never have met. The openness is not always easy, since it brings the youth face to face with the complex reality of the conflict – with the apprehensions, the angers, the aspirations and the past accounts of each side. We believe that the positive social experience alongside the honest mutual meeting is the way to create a true basis for a joint existence in the future.
